Elle is happy

Today I ran. I hate running but I'm making an effort to like it or at the very least do it three times a week. I'm aiming for five days a week but I think for the first few weeks it's going to be three times. I'm also working on my abs and thighs which is why I don't think I'll be doing five runs a week. The day after doing the thigh work out, my thighs are a bit sore. And I know you're supposed to take it easy on the day after working out a particular muscle group. Eventually, I'll be able to run everyday. It won't take more than a few weeks I think.
I'm working out to be healthy. No one would consider me overweight, in fact, most would consider me underweight. And that's okay. My doctor assures me I'm just meant to be this small. However, I want to work on muscle tone in a few key areas as well as just my overall health. You can be skinny and not be healthy afterall. And it's winter so I'm not going out as much as I normally would, dancing and such. Basically, my activity level is lower than what it would normally be and that's hard for me. And it's winter so it's dark early and all that. So I'm going to fight the winter blues through exercise. YAY!
I won't always write about my workouts, I promise. But I'm hoping by writing about it a bit that it will help me keep myself accountable.
